Congratulations to Clara Schroedl, MD and James Paparello, MD who were inducted into Northwestern’s chapter of AOA in November 2010.

Dr. Schroedl is a first year Pulmonary fellow at Northwestern, an alumnus of Northwestern’s Internal Medicine residency program and a former Chief Medical Resident. She grew up in Minnesota and completed her undergraduate education at University of Chicago. Her research interests include use of simulation-based education to improve patient care. Clara was honored due to her dedication to each of the missions of the medical school: expert clinical care, research accomplishments and outstanding teaching.
Dr. Paparello is a site director for the Internal Medicine Clerkship and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology. Dr. Paparello completed his education and post-graduate training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He is a consistent teaching award winner who has received multiple “Teacher of the Year” awards from housestaff and students. Dr. Paparello was honored due to his outstanding accomplishments in clinical care and education.
Both Clara Schroedl and Jay Paparello are inspiring role models for our housestaff and faculty.
