Junior Medicine Site Directors: The junior medicine clerkship evaluation for Summer 2010 was the best ever. Below you will find students’ glowing comments about the site directors working on Junior Medicine Clerkship.

Vinky Chadha: He chose some of the most important and common medical issues that we encountered and approached their teaching in a very systematic, logical, and integrative manner. The conference discussions were EXTREMELY helpful in expanding my practical knowledge and it is very clear that Dr. Chadha puts a lot of time, effort, and thought behind the sessions that he's led. Well done!!!

Sarah Sutton: Super nice, real and approachable. Very inspiring! She promoted a non-threatening learning environment and she gave good tips on patient presentations and offered feedback during all of our meetings. She asked good questions about patient care and decision making.

Jay Paparello: He is a model teacher. He is approachable, fun, and is extremely gifted in organizing material (and then logically stepping through that material) in such a way that makes concepts crystal clear and easy to remember.

Mike Angarone: He's great at guiding discussion, challenging thoughts, forcing debate. Awesome teacher, made conference fun.

David Neely: I really liked how he kept the sessions open to questions and comments. Dr. Neely has good stories and anecdotes that provide insight into what is and is not important to remember from the first two years of med school. I think you should continue the policy of calling on everyone in the group or "going in a circle" so everyone has the opportunity to answer. I really liked how he did physical exam rounds.

Arv Vanagunas: He is a one of a kind teacher. He creates topics for us to work through each week that are informative and important. He discusses them with us at a level that we understand and makes sure that each step is properly explained along the way. Awesome, laid back, chilled out dude

Aarati Didwania: She was FANTASTIC!!! She was a great teacher and I really learned a lot through our sessions together. I don't think I've ever had a system for reading EKGs (despite having been taught 10 times before) until she went over them. She created a friendly, nonintimidating learning environment and really made sure that we truly understood the information we were presented with. She also was encouraging and approachable.

Robert Hirschtick: Other than him being super awesome, have a great sense of humor, being extremely knowledgeable and amazing with the patients; he seems to be genuinely interested in the students and aware of their potential and shortcomings. Dr. Hirschtick gave excellent mini-lectures that addressed basic inpatient medical problems and evidence based management. His case presentations were always well done and very engaging- they were probably the highlight of the month.
