Dr. Licht Elected ASH Councillor
Dr. Jonathan Licht was elected as councillor of The American Society of Hematology, Executive Committee, for a term beginning in January 2013.
The ASH is the world's largest professional society concerned with the causes and treatment of blood diseases, and the Executive Committee is the governing body for the organization.
Dr. Licht is the Johanna Dobe Professor of Medicine and the Chief of the Divsion of Hematology-Oncology. He also serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Sciences at Northwestern’s Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Licht’s major area of interest is epigenetics and aberrant gene expression in hematologic malignancies, including large cell lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
