Award for Structured Inter-Disciplinary Rounds
Dr. Kevin O'Leary and Northwestern's Structured Inter-Disciplinary Rounds (SIDR) team have been chosen as the 2013 recipient of the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Award for Excellence in Teamwork in Quality Improvement, part of their Awards of Excellence Program.
Structured Inter-Disciplinary Rounds are held every day on the inpatient medicine floors at Northwestern. SIDR brings together physicians, nurses, social workers, and other staff to ensure that all healthcare providers share the same goals of care for each patient.
SHM will be recognizing this award in an upcoming edition of The Hospitalist and on their website www.hospitalmedicine.org. The award will be presented during the Awards of Excellence Presentation at their annual conference, Hospital Medicine 13 (HM13) in May.
