We want to understand how patients and healthcare providers do and don't communicate with one another - and then intervene to facilitate meaningful communication and decision making.
Our research programs develop, implement, and evaluate literacy and cross-cultural communication, and we are leaders in research design for multimedia messages addressing preventive health issues such as colorectal cancer screening and influenza vaccination.
