Health Information Technology

We use health information technology to make medical care safer. Through the creation of electronic networks spanning multiple institutions, and using information technology to improve communication about medications we can save lives. Our research studies the application of geographic information systems, the role of technology in improving the care for vulnerable populations, and provider and patient-directed strategies to eliminate disparities in preventive and chronic disease care through the use of health information technology and system redesign.
