Innovative Physician Education
Northwestern is the first institution in the country to link the fields of medicine and education in order to improve how health systems educate patients and families on their health. We are leading research in simulation-based education, standard setting and competency assessment of students, residents and fellows. We are committed to promoting diversity. For the past two years, more than 20% of incoming interns in the Department of Medicine have been from groups traditionally underrepresented in medicine.
