Vascular Medicine Training Program - Leadership Courses at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern is among the leading business schools in the U.S.  We will capitalize on the strengths of the Kellogg School of Management to develop leadership skills in our trainees.

Trainees will be required to take five 2.5 day workshops in the Kellogg School of Management’s program for leaders of non-profit organizations.  These workshops are designed to help leaders of non-profit organizations achieve maximum success at their organization.  The program goals are directly pertinent to our trainees who are being prepared to lead the developing field of vascular medicine. Courses are located on the medical school campus and offered throughout the calendar year.  The courses employ problem-solving and role-playing exercises.  We have selected and budgeted for the following five courses available through the non-profit leadership program seminars at Kellogg School of Management:  1. Strategic Leadership; 2. Leadership, ethics, and the legal aspects of nonprofit organizations; 3. Capacity building, 4. Keys to successful partnering; 5.  Performance Counts!  Two leadership workshops will be taken during year one of the training program.  The remaining three will be taken during year two.  The Table below summarizes the goals and content of the five programs.
