Facilities

The McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University is an academic medical center consisting of The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and five independent hospitals:  Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), The Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), all adjacent to the Feinberg School's campus in downtown Chicago; Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood; and Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (ENH), which includes Evanston Hospital in the suburb of Evanston, Illinois, and Glenbrook Hospital in suburban Glenview, Illinois.

 Feinberg School of Medicine

The Division of Hematology/Oncology is an integral part of the Department of Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine.  Faculty members supervise hospital clinical teams, which include medical students, residents, and fellows in McGaw Medical Center programs.

 The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern  University

The Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, designated by the National Cancer Institute as a comprehensive cancer center, is the focus of cancer research, treatment, and education at Northwestern University. The center coordinates the University's cancer and cancer-related activities and brings together more than 250 basic scientists, clinical investigators, and educators from throughout the McGaw Medical Center.

The research laboratories of the Division of Hematology/Oncology are key components of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.  The divisional laboratories are located on floors 3, 5, and 6 of the new Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center and the eighth floor of the Olson Health Sciences Building on the Chicago campus of Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.  Members of the Division and the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center also have laboratories on the University's Evanston campus.  The Divisional Administrative office is housed on the fifth floor of the Lurie Medical Research Center, and Faculty and Fellow Academic Offices are located on the eighth floor of 676 N. St. Clair Street.

A multidisciplinary outpatient Cancer Center, where our faculty members see patients, is located on the 21st floor of the Galter Pavilion of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  The Division is cooperating with all of the components of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and Northwestern University affiliated hospitals to develop robust clinical and basic research programs.
