Regular weekly educational activities bring together members of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and clinicians and basic scientists of all Northwestern University institutions and hospital affiliates. Fellows are expected to participate in the following conferences, based upon trainees interest and schedule

- Breakfast with the Fellows – a review of palliative care topics (weekly for palliative medicine/Oncology fellows only)
- Biannual Visiting Professorship in Palliative Medicine (two-day visit from an expert in palliative medicine)
- Lectures in the Life Sciences (bimonthly- Basic Research Track)
- Tumor Cell Biology Weekly- Basic Research Track)
- Clinical Research Grand Rounds (Monthly-Clinical Research Track)
