Regular weekly educational activities bring together members of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and clinicians and basic scientists of all Northwestern University institutions and hospital affiliates. Fellows are expected to participate in the following conferences, based upon trainees interest and schedule

  • New Patient Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Breast Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Genitourinary Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Lung Conference (weekly)
  • Multidisciplinary Gastrointestinal Conference (weekly)
  • Issues in Supportive Oncology (weekly)
  • Research in Supportive Oncology (weekly for palliative medicine fellows only)
  • Breakfast with the Fellows – a review of palliative care topics (weekly for palliative medicine/Oncology fellows only)
  • Biannual Visiting Professorship in Palliative Medicine (two-day visit from an expert in palliative medicine)
  • Lectures in the Life Sciences (bimonthly- Basic Research Track)
  • Tumor Cell Biology Weekly- Basic Research Track)
  • Clinical Research Grand Rounds (Monthly-Clinical Research Track)
