Research Interests: Dr. Beri’s research involves working with A549 cells (a human malignant clone that functions similarly to lung epithelial cells) to further investigate the molecular pathogenesis of asbestosis. Particularly, she is focusing on the endoplasmic stress response and its contribution to apoptosis in an asbestos model.

Kathryn Radigan, MD

Research Interests: Dr. Radigan’s research focuses on studying quality improvement in the intensive care unit by examining the role that a daily rounding checklist may play in improving clinical outcomes. In addition, she is conducting a translational project analyzing the role of extracellular proteasome activity in patients with sepsis. Dr.l Radigan is currently supported by the NIH institutional T32 NRSA grant, and have applied for individual F32 NRSA funding.
