Faculty Promotion Ceremony 2009

Each year the Department of Medicine celebrates the promotion of approximately 20 faculty members to new ranks at the medical school. This year a variety of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors were lauded for their contributions to education, research and clinical care by Chairman of Medicine Douglas E. Vaughan, MD. One of those promoted to Associate Professor, Dr. John Butter, is an Associate Residency Program Director. John has shown his excellence as an educator and researcher and is the recipient of multiple teaching awards. His research focus is how to make education programs better to benefit students, residents and patients. Congratulations to all the faculty members promoted this year!
