Description of Interests

I am clinically trained in internal medicine, gastroenterology & hepatology, and transplant hepatology, and have obtained advanced training in both clinical investigation and cardiovascular epidemiology. My overarching goal is to perform risk estimation using “big data” approaches to answer clinically relevant questions surrounding the complex interplay between cardiovascular disease and liver disease. I particularly interested in liver wellness and health, as well as the development of and prevention of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and subsequent cardiovascular diseases among this high-risk population.
