ACP Meeting 2009-10

Once again, Northwestern's team is the Northern Illinois Chapter Medical Jeopardy Champion! Our team of Ben Singer (PGY3), Alicia Peterson (PGY2), and Nicholas Zwang (PGY1) won final jeopardy by a score of 8800 to zero! They will represent us at nationals in Toronto in May, 2010.

The winning continued in the Research Competition when Kartik Agusala (PGY2) won first place in the scientific poster session. Kartik's presentation was "Two-dimensional Echocardiography Reference Values for Right Ventricular Size and Function" and his mentor was Sanjiv J. Shah, MD. Lisa Van Wagner (PGY3) took the second place price for research. Her presentation was "Increased risk of post-transplant cardiac events in NASH patients: Is transplant screening using traditional cardiac risk factors sufficient?" and her mentor was Mary Rinella, MD.
