The Northwestern residency program was strongly represented at the annual American College of Physicians Illinois Associate Day, sponsored by the University of Chicago and held at the South Shore Cultural Center.

Lee-Shing Chang, Katie Kinner, and David Vermylen were an outstanding team in the "Doctor's Dilemma" competition, answering many tricky clinical unknowns.

  • Kenika Robinson - An unusual presentation of dysphagia mimicking achalasia in a patient with scleroderma
  • Jeremy Katzen - A case of Lofgren's Syndrome: Making a clinical diagnosis in an interventional world

Matthew Nitzberg won first prize in the oral vignettes session for his presentation on a 29-year-old hospitalized male with acutely altered mental status from hand sanitizer intoxication.
