The Liver Meeting 2009

Northwestern residents presented their research at the AASLD meeting this fall in Boston. Shown from left to right are Lisa Van Wagner (PGY3) and PGY2 residents Michael Kriss and Lisa Alvarez. Residents combined forces with faculty members Mary Rinella and Josh Levitsky to present their research regarding post-transplant cardiac events in NASH patients and use of mycophenolate mofetil monotherapy in liver transplant recipients. Northwestern residents benefit from early exposure to mentors in the field of Hepatology due to our inpatient liver service and large liver transplant center.
