Each year, every second year resident is responsible for presenting an hour long lecture to his/her colleagues as part of the "PGY2 lecture series" held during medicine noon conference. The topic presented is of the resident's choosing and typically involves each officer's original research and/or a topic that he/she has a particular clinical or scientific interest in. The chief medical residents voted Timothy McGorisk's lecture on "Disease Mongering and the 'Medicalization' of Aging" as the best PGY2 lecture of the first half of the academic year. This original topic was thoroughly researched and presented in an objective light that was both thought provoking and insightful. Congrats Tim!
