Mita S Goel, MD, MPH

Dr. Sanghavi Goel has been on faculty at Northwestern since 2004, following her Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and her Fellowship in General Medicine at the combined Harvard General Medicine Program.

Dr. Uchida is experienced at caring for patients with complex medical illnesses. She practices evidence-based medicine which includes treating each patient as a unique individual. She also focuses on health promotion and the care of the whole person.

I am interested in computational medicine and specifically pharmacoalgorithmics, informally defined as "the study of what the drug prescription does to the patient." Drug therapy is more than just drugs, it includes the instructions for safely and effectively using the drugs and the resources to support those instructions (e.g., nurses, pharmacists, physicians, infusion pumps, and drug concentration measurements). A prescription is a health-care program implemented by a physician or other qualified practitioner in the form of instructions that govern the plan of care for an individual patient...

Yacob G Tedla, PhD

Research Assistant Professor of Medicine (General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics)

Dr. Tedla is a cardiovascular epidemiologist. His research work focuses on arterial structural and functional abnormalities, with a special emphasis on arterial stiffness and blood pressure variability, and their impact on cardiovascular diseases. He is interested on the use of big electronic health record data to conduct clinical research while leveraging on robust epidemiologic methods and analytical techniques.
