Kathryn K Hufmeyer, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine (General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics)
Focus of Work
I completed my medical education at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine in 2011 and completed my residency training in internal medicine at Northwestern through the McGaw Medical Center in 2014. I am currently a practicing general internist and an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine. I previously completed my Masters in Education through the Alliance for Catholic Education at the University of Notre Dame in 2007.
My academic interests include curricular development and oversight as well as clinical education, feedback and assessment. I am actively involved in the clinical teaching of medical students and medicine residents in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. My educational research involves studying educational methods to improve clinical trainee documentation in the electronic health record.
My clinical practice involves comprehensive primary care for adults ages 18 and older including preventative health and chronic care management. I thoroughly enjoy establishing long-term therapeutic relationships with my patients to improve their overall health and well-being.
