Grand Rounds

The Department of Medicine holds regular grand rounds presentations and lectures for faculty, residents and fellows to present recent advances in research, clinical care and practice.

Lectures take place every Tuesday between September and June at 7:30 a.m. in Feinberg Pavilion, 251 E. Huron St., Conference Room A.

Grand Rounds Online

  • Video recordings of lectures are at Grand Rounds Online, which is password protected and made available only to those who are normally invited to attend the lectures.
    • Recordings are from the last two years. 
    • To view recorded lectures from the current year please email Rana Khalifeh.
  • Live-streaming is available for CME credit for Northwestern Medicine physicians and healthcare providers by navigating to the My Learning site on the NM network. Further instructions (Word doc) are available.

Northwestern Women in Medicine: Leading The Way

Chicago -

The aim of the symposium is to empower women in leadership and
to facilitate career advancement by identifying barriers prevalent
in medicine and finding ways to initiate constructive solutions. The
conference will also allow for networking amongst community and
academic women in medicine.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Facilitate the advancement of women in medicine
2. Identify the skills needed to be an effective leader
3. Identify strategies when to say yes and when to say no to professional endeavors
4. Develop the art of negotiation
5. Identify evidence based data and peer reviewed studies relating to implicit bias and gender equity
6. Identify barriers that currently exist for women in medicine and create constructive solutions
7. Describe strategies for work life balance while maintaining overall wellness and health

Weekend Update in the Science and Practice of Medicine

The Landsberg Society is an alumni organization for former Department of Medicine house staff that fosters dynamic professional exchanges and networking, continuing medical education, and ongoing support of the medicine residency and fellowship programs at Feinberg. The Society takes its name from Dr. Landsberg and honors his indelible impact on alumni of Feinberg's postgraduate training programs and today's trainees. This activity aims to promote learning and camaraderie among members of the Landsberg Society, and is aimed at primary care physicians.
