Dr. Greenland is the Harry W. Dingman Professor of Cardiology and Professor of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and a Senior Editor for JAMA. Dr. Jonathan Moreira is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. After receiving dual bachelor degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he returned to his native Chicago, where he received a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine. Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Pharmacology
Dr. Wilsbacher's research focuses on cardiac development and cardiomyocyte maintenance in the setting of pathological stress. Currently, the laboratory investigates the G protein-coupled receptor sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1Pr1) and its unexpected role in cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac development. Her research aims to identify the signaling mechanisms that underlie these cardiac developmental effects and to investigate whether S1Pr1 signaling contributes to cardiac remodeling in the adult heart.
