I am an Associate Professor of Medicine-Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. My primary clinical and research interests are in HIV and Viral Hepatitis Co-infection and Global Health. I am Principal and Co-Investigator on a number of epidemiological studies of HIV, Viral Hepatitis B and C, and Hepatocellular Carcinoma in the US, Tanzania and Nigeria. Dr. Rich is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program, as well as the Program Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Pharmacology
Dr. Wilsbacher's research focuses on cardiac development and cardiomyocyte maintenance in the setting of pathological stress. Currently, the laboratory investigates the G protein-coupled receptor sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1Pr1) and its unexpected role in cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac development. Her research aims to identify the signaling mechanisms that underlie these cardiac developmental effects and to investigate whether S1Pr1 signaling contributes to cardiac remodeling in the adult heart.
