Dr. Cohen practices General Gastroenterology with additional special focuses on Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and non surgical treatment of hemorrhoids. Dr. Cohen is originally from Potomac, Maryland. He completed his undergraduate work at Cornell University and medical school at the University of Maryland. Dr. Cohen moved to Chicago in 1998 where he completed his residency at Northwestern followed by a 4 year combined clinical and research GI fellowship under an NIH training grant at the University of Chicago. Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine (Endocrinology)
My major focus and passion is as a clinician and educator. I practice comprehensive adult endocrinology.I strive for outstanding, evidence-based, compassionate, thorough and empathetic care. Particular areas of interest include diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders. It is a privilege to take care of patients with endocrine disorders as best I know how. I enjoy the challenge of staying current with the science, applying and incorporating new and creative strategies.
